TLDR: The seller was nice and professional during communication, and if it hadn't been for the spotty communication and time it took to send the package this would've been a positive 5/5 review.
I initially contacted the seller on another platform where she was taking offers for this set, and we agreed I'd pay half then and half on Dec 7th. Communication was thorough in the beginning, however I sent my final payment in the morning on the 7th, and got no confirmation on her end that she received it or was preparing the item until I reached out, replying that she'd give me the tracking once the item was sent. She mentioned briefly in the listing description that she was getting ready to move, but had not indicated to me that she would be having any delays (ie moving, visiting family, etc) in our emails.
On the 14th I contacted her again to see if she had shipped it out, received no response, contacted again on the 18th, received no response, then contacted her again on the 22nd both through email and through messaging here on LM. Still with no response I reached out to her local comm admin through Facebook, who reached out to the seller for me and informed me that the seller said she would contact me. Not long after, she messaged me on LM and apologized, explaining she moved and had no internet or phone connection and was unable to reach out to me. She offered to ship it for next day delivery with no extra cost to me, which I accepted, however the message was never read and after one more attempt to contact her with no response, I opened up a paypal dispute on one half of the invoice and escalated it to a claim on the 24th.
On the 29th the seller responded and refunded me that half of the invoice, and then I opened a case and escalated it to a claim for the other half of the invoice the same day. The seller then messaged me and apologized again, and kindly informed she would be sending me the dress anyways on the 31st. Following her word she sent it on the 31st with priority shipping and it arrived safely on January 3rd, with the items as described (sans a button for the jsk strap I had to repair but it only took me a few minutes.) I called Paypal's customer service this morning and requested they close the case in the seller's favor now that I've received the items.
The circumstances were unfortunate, and while long the transaction did end on a high note and I'm extremely grateful to lacirquedusirene for sending me the dress anyways, as it's one I've been wanting for a long time.
