At first, the transaction seemed to be going okay, despite the delays in purchasing and paying the invoice, however it all went downhill after shipping the dress. After multiple messages, the buyer claimed that the address on their Paypal was their old address and that they had contacted "someone else living there" who told them that the dress had been stolen at their old address. They told me that they decided to contact USPS and USPS told them that their claim was ineligible, which I'm thinking is because not updating your address is sadly your fault. They told me that they had submitted a missing mail claim as theft is common in that area. I asked them not too long later if they had contacted the post office yet and there was no response. The missing mail claim message was the last message I received. A couple months later I received an email from Paypal saying that they filed a chargeback dispute as the buyer told their bank that this purchase was an UNAUTHORISED TRANSACTION and my funds were put on hold. This is what I find pretty cruel, firstly calling the whole purchase a mistake and also the fact that I was not the one who lost the parcel, nor am I a store that can just send out a replacement (though even they might not do this due to it being the buyer's mistake). Unfortunately this is one of those situations where you have to just admit your mistake and move on. However, after seeing the chargeback claim I wondered if the buyer was just scamming me as how am I supposed to know if they really moved at all? Why did they not reply to any later messages? Why didn't they inform me they were going to demand a refund? The tracking said the dress was delivered, so for all I know, they could be keeping a free dress, which I have had happen to me twice already (with one successfully keeping a dress) throughout my years in lolita. In conclusion, I wouldn't sell to this person as the whole situation seemed sketchy and the lack of communication was very rude. If it was true that the dress was stolen, it would have been better to message me first, letting me know, although it would still be wrong to file a dispute (especially calling it unauthorised) for what is the buyer's fault. Luckily due to the proof of tracking and delivery and the many pages of messages, Paypal sided with me and I was covered by Paypal's Seller's Protection so my funds were released back to me. Their bank still has to deem whether they should be given a refund or not, though luckily this doesn't have anything to do with me anymore.

The transaction went smoothly in the end, but I had to send the buyer a payment reminder message, and the buyer offered no explanation for the delay.
